Ha, if you have 345hp in a 5.2L Jeep engine, you've already done everything to increase the hp. They come with about 230hp, I have one. Drilling a hole won't effect anything but the noise, you may not pass inpection tho.
To get to 400hp from 230hp would take thousands, get a sports/muscle car if you want to race.

as cheap as possible? whats the cheapest way to give my jeep grand cherokee 93 laredo 5.2 v8 50 + hp as cheap as possible and make it louder i heard u can drill a hole in muffler does that effect mpg or hp if it lowers either i wont do it and i would like to raise the body up higher so i can put bigger wheels on the car its got a 345 hp v8 i need it to be 400 hp and do 0 to 60 in 5 to 6 seconds

Headers will give you the sound you desire for a decent price, and add about 35 horses G/T.

But dude,seriously....It's a jeep not a dragster, and your comment on 0-60 tells me you think it should be fast.

1. It's gonna take about $1500 to get 400 hp out of that motor.
2. Even headers will cost you some bills even if you do the work yourself.
3.0-60 in 5 to 6 seconds....impossible with 400 hp.
4. Horsepower is not cheap.

Put some flowmaster mufflers on it and enjoy your jeep.
It'll give you a good sound, and a little better performance, and it wont break the bank.

Its pretty simple really, im a mechanic and i always get questions such as these. Add a new air filter and screen to the front of your car. This will allow clean air for engine to intake. This is extremely ideal and wont choke your wallet

345 on that engine? no way in heck. but if you want to gain up to 50 horses. for cheap. cant do it. you can speend maybe 200 on a cam. put new exhaust and a intake. but your not gonna get +50 for under 200 bucks. thats a good chunk of horse. you can drill a hole it will be barely louder. as long as it in muffler wont affect gas.
