And is it a safe means of storage? Reason i ask is i have about 100gig of family photos videos etc on an external hard drive and also backed up on dvd. I want another back up of them just in case and considering buying a few flash drives.
It would kill me if i lost them and i know how hard drives can just crash at any time. How reliable are solid state storage devices like flash drives? What would be there life span considering there is no moving parts in them?
