I am trying to write a book about how to be a successful author, that way when when it gets published it will be self validating. The problem is I have never had a book published before.
Well, you should do a first draft, i.e. write the book in full and then send it off to the publisher. Even if they are not interested in publishing the book, they will give you constructive criticism on it, which you can then use to edit the book to make the book as good as it can be. Then, keep sending it off to publishers until you get one that wants to publish. This may take a while, but if it is a useful, well-written book, there is no reason for them not wanting to publish it.
