I made a big mistake and did not start my tanks biological cycle before adding fish. I bought 3 tiger barbs and 1 dwarf gouramis.
The fish information under the tiger barbs said they would do well with gouramis.
One day after putter the fish in the tank, one of the tiger barbs died.
How do i get my biological cycle started without the rest of the fish dying? Could i put them into my other tank and restart my tank until its ready or what?
Also i have plastic plants that my mom has used years ago that i thought i cleaned good enough but maybe i didnt as well as i thought. Could that have any serious affect?
And the tank was previously used. If i did start over, what would be the best way to clean the tank? It is very dirty and would like to scrub it down good but don't want to use any harsh chemicals that might harm the fish later on.
