What's the best way to go about painting the emblems on my truck?

Its a 2003 Dodge Ram Quad Cab. Its a black truck and I'm painting EVERYTHING to match. But i'm having trouble with the emblems, its not one piece and I'm scared to remove them, since I doubt they'll ever go back in the same place.
