What's the best way to get rid of dandruff?

So I had to use a pretty cheap brand of shampoo and stuff a few weeks and it fried up my scout. What's the best way for me to get rid of it? I'd it helps; I have kind of thick curly hair and it's a tad bit over the shoulder.
