What's the best way to find a good divorce lawyer?

A friend of mine contacted me and asked if I knew a good divorce lawyer because she discovered that her husband had been cheating on her. She doesn't have a lot of family here in Atlanta, and frankly being that I'm young and poor, I don't have a lot of numbers for good divorce attorneys lying around.
I would just look online or through the phonebook, but I don't want to end up with some loser ambulance chaser that doesn't know what he's doing. Are there any good ways to assure that I help my friend find the right attorney?
 
It's important that your friend find an attorney who specializes in divorce or family law. Ask around, word of mouth is the best way to get information about an attorney.
Most lawyers offer a free or very inexpensive, 1st visit consultation. Be prepared though. I've learned that most attorneys are just used car salesmen with a better education. Those consults can be used as a method to used their "hard sell" techniques.
