I bought ArmorAll "Auto Glass Cleaner" which claims to be safe on car glass because it doesn't have ammonia. However, I put some on a paper towel and very lightly rubbed the inside of the window.... and it completely destroyed my tint, by making small holes all over it.
I was very delicate with the touch, and using just water doesn't seem to clean off all the marks. However I'm terrified to try anything else because I don't want to damage the tint any further. The tint is not THAT old as the car is only a 2004.
My dog sits in the backseat so I'm trying to clean off her nose prints on the glass, as well as some marks left by my GPS mount on the windshield.
Ideas? Suggestions? Should I have used something other than paper towels?
