best lotus car is up to your opinion. best performance is probably the exige. i know both the elise and exige engines are made by toyota. not sure about the evora.

i wouldn't say they are overpriced, there are other cars i'd say are overpriced, like the honda s2000. lotus's are one of the best handling cars.
