...old and haven't started? I've been divorced for 18 years. I was married for 17 years. Can anyone help me with financial advice concerning retirement? I've had jobs throughout the years with companies that didn't have a 401k plan and companies that have downsized. How do I start my own pension plan with IRA's, Annuities and etc. so that I will receive a nice check monthly when I retire? I haven't started any savings plan. I am 53 years old. I'm really scared. I'd like to have 100k in 10 years in retirement. Is that possible? What would be the calculations and the financial plan? Please financial advisors, pension employees and people who have this knowledge please respond. I thank-you in advance.
