whats the best brand of subwoofers for car audio?

ive heard that the best is JL audio but then ive also heard that Rockford Fosgate, MTX audio and Kicker are all good brands. and that Sony Xplod, Jensen , and Pioneer are not that good? whats the best and worst? and what is the Best Shallow mount sub? which hits harder?
 
JL is the best in car audio.

Rockfords are pretty good too.

I've owned a Kicker L7, and 2 Kicker CVX's and out of those 3 speakers 2 blew on me. I will never buy another kicker again.

I'm going with Alpine next. I heard they are pretty decent.

Sony Xplods are decent for their price range as well as Kenwoods.

Pioneer's are pretty good too along with MTX's. I hear that the new Pioneer Shallow mount sub is nice. But if you want more bang for your buck. Go with Rockford's. =) good luck.
