whats the bar called that makes the car move?

The drive shaft - the CV universal joint allows the shaft to drive the wheels whatever position they are in.

Drive shaft for rwd, and half shaft for fwd. There is a CV joint on the half shaft on fwd's.

In the UK we call it the propeller shaft if it goes from the transmission case to the axle, or the drive shaft if it goes from differential to wheel, sometimes called a half shaft on live axles. Hope this helps
