whats the advantage of a 24volt cordless drill over 12,14,18volt apart from the power?

Hi All, i need a new Cordless Drill, i just wondered if its worth buying a 24volt drill rather than a 12, 14, or 18 volt? is the only difference the power? any advice would be appreciated
