Whats that string thing, myth where you can tell the sex of the baby?

you put a needle on the end of a string and lie on the floor. get someone to stand above you with the needle above your belly. get them to slightly move the string. if it goes side to side its a girl, if it goes round and round it a boy! x
 
You put your ring on a thread and if it moves side to side it is a girl and if it moves in a circle it is a boy. But it doesn't work. I have 4 boys and one time I would do it, it would say one thing and the next time it would say the opposite. The sex of the baby inside you can't make a string move a certain way. If you hold that same string and ring over the kitchen table it is going to move on way or the other :) It is just a fun old wives tale to try. It has a 50-50 chance of being right.
 
Are you talking about the ring on a string and you hold it over your wrist or palm? Haha the lady that cuts my hair stopped in the middle of my hair cut because I told her I was going to find out and did this. She said it would be a girl. It has something with the way it moves. Clockwise circle = girl I don't know what boy is. Have fun!! It was fun to watch someone else do it to me lol!!!
