whats that part of a bike called?

may seem like a silly one but i have no idea....u no the silver part that the peddels are attatched to?well i need a new one and dont no wat to type into ebay...also are there different sizes or does one size fit all?

I think it's a crank.

I'm sure you're looking for a crank. It runs through the frame and attaches to the chain-set and pedal arm on the other side. There ara a few types and it's not so easy to fit. My advice is to bring it to your local bike shop and let them do it.

I was quoted €30 fitted for one recently. As it happened it just needed tightening, so try that first!
