I was getting into an argument with someone and he told me that i had "community college skills" he was trying to say that I sucked at English. why would someone think that?
what the heck... the suggested categorie for this questions was: special education. hahahahah
by the way, I just started taking classes at a comm. college, but this guy told me this 2 years ago, and its not like I was in college.

There is NOTHING wrong with it. I'm a community college student and so are a lot of other people.

Some people look down on community colleges because they think that's where the rejects go and they have one more opportunity to be something. That's downright stereotyping. Community college students are smart, and there are plenty of upsides to going to one first, then transferring to a university. (For one, money).

Community college is a stepping stone to the big university. Classes are exactly the same as at a four-year, only in much smaller class sizes. This is a big advantage because it gives us more connection to our professors, while at a university you're just a number in a lecture hall of 300 students.

My mom and her siblings (an aunty and two uncles) all went to a community college before going to the local university, and they all have good jobs. And they all have their masters degrees. Community college is great. Who cares if a high school senior got into a university straight out of high school? It doesn't matter. That high school senior probably won't be getting a masters degree.

There is nothing terribly wrong with it, and obviously, it is better than not going to college at all. There are a lot of people who think of community college as being only for those who couldn't make it into a 4-year college, though, so his comment was undoubtedly an insult.

because a cc education is not worth as much as from a 4 year university, the classes there are wayy easier.

There's nothing wrong with taking classes at a community college. The english/writing courses at a community college are pretty much the same as at a 4 year school.
You're taking the smart road by saving some money. "That guy" is probably up to his ears in debt from going to some fancy private school and he probably can't afford his loan payments because he got a useless degree.
