I'm only 14 (be 15 in two months) and in some of my classes, the kids (well, the boys) talking about how they've had sex with other teen girls. These boys are only either 14 or 15. I think that's too young to be having sex, protected or unprotected. I don't even think 16 is old enough. These boys don't seem to have any respect for females at all. I hear them talk disgustingly about other girls (when they're saying something nice or mean). And all of the have bad records (meaning they've gotten in a lot of trouble in school). These boys are also failing most of their classes (Cs, Ds and Fs) and they blame the teacher. This seems to be cool to a lot of the girls.
There's even a girl (she's in two of my classes) who is 16 and about 35 weeks pregnant. I don't know her story, but everyone seems to think it's cool that she's pregnant and some of the boys even jokingly ask her, ""Who's the father?"Thankfully, she has her whole family's support.
Anyway, I'm just asking what's so great about being a troublesome teenager and having sex? I have a clean record, I do my best at school (have As and Bs in all classes) and I'm into drawing, computers and writing stories. I want to be a graphic designer, an artist or an author. And I don't plan to have sex anytime soon. I have other things to worry about. I don't need the worry of becoming pregnant or getting an STD added to that. I did have a boyfriend and we never had sex and he never touched my breasts (sometimes else those boys think is cool)Yet, I'm treated like I'm strange or not human.
Sorry if this sounds like a rant. I just don't understand. I'm confused.
