I see a lotta people slamming cheap department store bikes. I personally have a hardtail KENT bike that I've put about 2000 miles on, with many of those miles being gained through moderately rough riding. I bought it at Big 5 for 100 bucks. It hasn't given me any problems besides having to adjust the brakes occasionally.
