Okay so on Friday I have a school debate. The main prompt is:
Was the land (Texas, California, and New Mexico) stolen from Mexico, or was it just an opportunity for the United States. Me and me apponent will be debating over the issues of Manifest Destiny and I need a lot of infomation on the subject and how can i possibly debate it. What do I do? This is the order on our debate
1) Intro
2) Manifest Destiny (me)
3) Land Grants
4) Polk vs. Santana
5) Monroe Doctrine
6) Mexico vs. US (war)
7) Treaty of G. Hidalgo
8) Conclusion
And when we debate we HAVE to answer the prompt.
