...powerful Carol of the Bells? Yesterday the 2nd of December, 2010, on KOOL108 I heard a song play between 12:00-12:30PM that sounded like Carol of the Bells, but it wasn't quite the same. It was more powerful and done with a full orchestra, with different instruments switching off to different parts of the music.
It sounded like it was from an old recording, because at times you could hear noise/static when there wasn't an instrument playing. The opening was different too, because usually Carol of the Bells starts out by going Da... Da Da Da... Da...Da Da Da, but this one started out with what sounded like church bells going Bum Bum Bum Bum, and then gradually going faster and faster, and then it goes into the Da... Da Da Da mode, and so on. But throughout, it has bursts of the full orchestra.
It was not the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and it had no choral parts, only instruments, and it was old with crispy noise in the background (when quiet).
I hope someone can help with this!
