whats is the correct way to put my 2007 dodge ram into 4 wheel drive?

i don't know i am supposed to be not moving or moving when i put my truck into 4 wheel drive? please used detail?
 
If your going slow you can do it on the fly. But I would put it in N before you do it just to be safe. But a Dodge can handle anything.
 
read the owners manual that should tell you if not you can put it in 4x4 high at 55mph or less just left off the gas and pop it in and for 4x4 low you wanna be doing less then 35 mph putting it in neutral does help some but the best way is from a stop.
