It could be that you have a sensitivity to benzyl peroxide if the Proactiv products are what is causing the red. Your skin is red because it's irritated. definitely try an anti-inflammatory lotion like the ones people are suggesting here. or, you might want to look in to using different products than Proactiv, like salylic acid acne products instead and see if that helps.

You know?......that kind of makes me wonder, I dont beleive I noticed my skin being red in my tzone until recently I stopped using the proactive cleanser (I only liked the cleanser). Well hopefully thats good news for me if I dont have rosacea and its just a reaction that will hopefully clear up if I dont ever ever use it again....what horrid stuff....didnt work that well anyways>(

I don't have rosacae or how u spell it. But my face is kind of red. Is there any products that can cool the redness down?

For Desireegx, is that the q10 night cream or the day one with the spf? I read on a website reviewing them that they were talking about the reduced redness was a plus but it didnt on the other reviews for the day one. It seems to be the case with the redness releif from Eucerin also, the night ones having a better redness benefit. Is it ok to use a night cream during the day?

I recommend trying Aveeno Ultra Calming Moisturizer with SPF 15. It really reduces redness, and its the only moisturizer with SPF I've found that doesn't irritate my skin/make me break out (although I use Proactive I hate their moisturizer - has Zinc Oxide). Its oil free, no zinc oxide, and made for sensitive skin. It has some sort of botanicals in it which help with redness - it works for me. Good luck!

Oh and I think they make an Ultra Calming face wash too, which presumably has the same effect.

Thank you I think I will try that out. I'll post back later if I see good results. I don't know why my face got red all of a sudden. Maybe proactive made my skin like this or not. It's normally a nicely toned tan color. But now it's not toned at all!! there's redness in the cheeks and I hate it more then acne.

I am using the Eucerin Redness Relief facewash. I got it from the drugstore. It makes my face a lot less tight, dry and irritated. Try it out.

Ok so I bought it today. But it stings when I put it on my face. Why is that? I never knew I had such a sensitive skin.

If you are looking for cosmetics to help tone the redness down, physician's formula makes green face powder and concealer made for redness, which I bought both yesterday and so far Im impressed! It really does tone a lot of it down. Im not sure I chose the best concealer (they make a lot of different varieties) but I chose the one in the blue lipstick tube and I just dab it over the really red parts with my concealer brush. They say you're supposed to use it under foundation but I didnt notice it making my face green and Im afraid that foundation would actually rub it off. However Im also going out today to look for their "Self defense color corrective lotion" which also has a green tint to it and I will see how that works out. I definately recommend giving at least one of their green products a try. Hope this helps!

Ok so the stinging feeling goes away after a few seconRAB. But I kept on using it and now my face is getting less red. So thank you for recommending me this product you are a life saver! :)

So glad its helping! Sorry to hear about the stinging - make sure that your face is really dry before putting it on. Make sure you wait at least 10 - 15 minutes after applying any other product, before putting the moisturiser on.

Oh and be gentle - I know what you mean about sensitive skin - after using various acne products, my face was so sensitive that if my eyes watered it would sting like crazy. At the moment I'm using Proactive with the Aveeno moisturizer (I hate the Proactive moisturizer - very irritating), and so far, so good.

I too had that kind of redness on my face and my doc said it wasn't rosacea. Eucerin Q10 Cream for sensitive skin has toned it down. Try it.

I don't know what your t zone is but it's in my inner cheeks. Right by my nose. Is there any products that can really cool my face down? Instead of just using concealers. My face never used to be red untill I started using proactive. It got red after that and I stopped using it but the redness still hasn't gone away.

And where can i get Eucerin Q10 Cream?

Good news... the stinging is going away. Along with the redness. I'm seeing great results in just 3 days and the bottle says you'll see results in 1 week. So I can not wait for that week to come! :)
