Whats causing my Dodge 5.9 V8 to make a tapping noise after warm up?

This only happens after the motor is fully warmed up, 5-10 minutes or more. The tapping noise varies with RPM of the motor. It sounds like its coming from the right side valve cover. The motor has 230,000 with regular care and oil changes.
