My wife has a 07 PT Cruiser that developed the crankwalk and blew the front crankshaft seal.What causes this to happen. I've heard chrysler got a bad batch of crankshafts and thrust bearings.All my research I find it discussed in forums and I know theres a star case bulletin.But nothing really concrete.
Did any auto magazines write any articles on this.Looking for any articles that explain why it happens and that Chrysler knew about this.If you don't know of any articles but know the reason this happens or any other bits of information that could help.Please chime in
