Whats better, the Samsung S8500 Wave OR the Samsung i7500 Galaxy?

Hi there, any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I am going to get a new phone, and I have to decide between the Samsung S8500 Wave OR the Samsung i7500 Galaxy.

I am having a hard time deciding... I will not be having an internet plan, just straight up talking and texting... and I want a phone that WORKS

Also just wondering, does the Samsung i7500 Galaxy have the "swype" or only the newest version?

And both phones say they support WiFi, does that mean you can just use that WiFi to surf the internet and such, without having an internet plan?
