What's better, lots of short exercises or only a few long exercises?

Which is better to build muscle fast, alot of short hard exercises spread out over the whole day, or only a few long exercises? If neither of these what would you recommend? I really want to make my arms bigger (mostly just my forearms because, well they're TWIGS!!) and I'd like to do it as fast as possible and also I'm in school so whatever you could recommend would be very much appreciated!
 
Manual exercises like pushups, pull ups, things like that will do the trick. Once you get strong enough, lean against a wall or door and try handstand pushups! I mean, these will build your biceps, but its not like your whole arm isn't gonna grow too, you'll notice growth in your forearm too.
