whats betta for my betta fish?

i have my beta in a 80 letre tank with other fish, he seems to be doing ok, comming out of hidding more, would it be better to move him to a smaller tank? or leave him where he is? i seem to be getting different answer getting confused!! no nasty coments!! just trying to do whats best for my fish!
 
My lil bro has a betta fish nd he keeps it in a small fish bowl.. The pet store told us it better for tht kind of fish to be in a small lil fish bowl by itself
