what's best a nissan qashqai or a honda crv?

as there is an offer on the crv it works out 600 pounds cheeper than the nissan ,am looking at the 2.2 diesel honda or the 2.0 or 1.5 diesel nissan.
 
Having done test/development work in both I must say I preferred the Nissan. The 2.0 diesel auto was superb, if you can afford it go for the panoramic roof and the satnav system too. The Nissan feels more roomy, in my opinion handles better and the qashqai currently has a very good rating. The CRV is getting old now and it shows.

The qashqai does have bad rear blind spots when looking over your shoulder for reversing etc and the tailgate hit my head when open (I'm 5"8 so not that tall) I still prefer it to the Honda though. The switchable 4x4 is very good too.
 
I don't know anything about Nissans, but my sis just got a Honda CRV and she loves it! She's always owned Hondas so they must be okay. I always buy Toyotas and am happy as can be with them. So in my opinion, go for the Honda, which is usually (if not always) ranked high in auto quality ratings.
