What's bad about Boot Camp?

To use Boot Camp you will need a retail copy of Windows with installation disks and activation key. Besides the space that Boot Camp will use their is nothing that is going to affect the Mac OSX side of your computer when you install windows on another partition. Windows in OSX will really operate in separate spaces as if you had two isolated computers, in some cases you can read the other operating system but not always.

I'm nervous about putting Boot Camp on my MacBook Pro. I want to play some computer games on here (I bought it mainly to do school and art work, though) but I'm afraid of what would happen when I put it on. I don't want the computer to slow down or it to get infected by viruses that Windows in vulnerable to and things like that.. Should I get Boot Camp? Are there any bad things about Boot Camp?
