whats a security ID whenever on video chat?

when i am on dating chat some girls send me a link and ask me to vertify and give them a the security id telling me that this is for their safety is that scam or what?thanks
 
most probably that girls want you to register your self on ther data base. is this is the case then definalty they will ask for your credit card details for a fee charg... then once its done they will provide you will the security id to chat with them.. it could definatly be a scam also .. so batter to avoid them
