What's a good toning exercise for the butt?

Some time ago I lost a lot of weight, but going the do-it-yourself way I forgot about toning while losing it. So now I need serious toning work.

I have weights for my arms & chest, and a certain crunch for the abs. Legs don't really need a lot of toning for some reason. That leaves thighs and rear to contend with. Any good ideas that can be done with strap-on weights or on it's own?

If you have a whole regiment for everything I'd love to hear that too. Could probably use more work on my stomach where I lost most of the weight than I do now anyway.
Also I'm perpetually broke, so it needs to be something that can be done with what I currently have - 4 strap-on weights and a pair of dumbells. No large machines or gym equipment.
