What? You actually tried out all of those programs already even though each had a bad rep for harming the computers they were installed on? Why would you do that? Or did you not even bother to even google "frostwire virus"?
For a person of your demonstrated proficency, I would counsel against your use of any peer-share software/network. You're likely to save yourself the cost of a hundred songs and be out a new HD, if not a new computer.
I could suggest some websites you could try instead, but then Yahoo will just have my answer struck.
Here's a tip (I don't think they'll mind this), but about a half dozen people will post what amounts to be the same question here every day - how do I get free music. You are allowed to search past questions and read the answers.
You also don;t have to download - you can stream music using sites like youtube or LastFM or from the internet radio stations that specialize in your favorite music.
Here's a secret the downloaders don't want you to know - you don't have to copy music over the internet. You can copy from people you know, or rip from CD's borrowed from them or the library.
Some people might suggest you try torrenting sites - the problem is that you have to install client software (just like peer-share) and besides that you have to go to websites to download the torrents from, and you're always being asked to download stuff there that has nothing to do with the torrent files you want - if you're the kind of person who inflicted limewire on your computer, I shudder to think what you'd pick up on torrent sites.
