whats a good first car?

my parents said they are willing to spend 10 grand at the most for my first car. ive been driving an old beat up minivan that my uncle gave me for a while now and even my parents agree i need a new car.

im looking for a stylish, good looking, fun to drive, fuel efficient car (mid20s MPG). i also dont want some super common car like a civic or camry.

any ideas?
