What's a good DVD player to match with a Panasonic EDTV plasma (model 42PWD8UK)?

Getting a new plasma screen, and want to buy a DVD player that will "match" well with the plasma. I gather that some DVD chips (some made by Faroudja, I believe) can cause "macroblocking" with some plasmas, including Panasonic. So...what's a good DVD player to buy, hopefully in the $300 or less range.
