What's a good backpack for a college student/traveling/everyday use?

I need a roomy backpack that can carry 2-3 HEAVY textbooks, a laptop, and a few other items. I also would like to use this backpack as a carry-on for traveling, and basically just for use everyday. Any suggestions as to what pack I should buy?
