What's a current event (not older than 30 days) that I can do a 5 minute speech on?

I have to do a 5 minute speech on a current event. not just tell what happen. but also provide an analysis of the topic using one or more multiple political/governmental elements weve discussed in the chapters.

Fore example, which lobbying methods were used? Was gerrymandering suspected? Did a political party exert their unity & linkage role? etc.etc.

thanks in advance....and if you can provide an example to go with the current event thatd be great. but just an idea of a current event i could use is fine.
