I'm just wondering because I want a Yorkie, my brother wants a Maltese and my parents aren't really bothered.

small-ish backyard- can be fenced off.
Very big front yard can't be fenced off.
Average sized house.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of both breeds?
Please don't suggest other breeds.
We'd also rather a dog which doesn't bark a lot but I'm not really sure which breed of dog barks the least : Maltese or Yorkshire Terrier because I know that they both bark.
