Whatever happened to "Guardians of Luna"?

Anyone else remember this project? A werewolf toon with a cyber-punkesque near future setting. It was being developed by Michael Reaves and seemed like it was aiming to be sort of a spiritual successor to Gargoyles. I remember seeing online ads and I think even a teaser trailer, then it just sort of dropped of the radar. I assumed it had just fallen into development limbo as so many promising projects tragically do, perhaps partly due to Reaves' recent health problems.

Then I load up my browser today and see it being advertised in the ad banner of this very message board. The official site doesn't really offer any details like a release date or production news. So does anyone know if this is still in the works or not?
 
GOL is still on. It's slated to be released by FUNimation on Blu-ray and DVD in 2012. While were discussing the banners, they mentioned that new character artwork and character bios are on the way. If you have any questions, I'm sure they'd be happy to answer on their Facebook page.
 
I was quite surprised to see those banners. I was starting to wonder if it would ever be produced. Good to know it's still in the works but 2012? Still quite a wait.
 
Wow. Speak of the devil, I was just reminessing about that earlier and poof! adds for it are the 1st thing I see when I log in today.:eek:
Man the last time a read about that was back when I 1st joined the TZ. Nice to see it finally coming along.:D
 
It hasn't been that long. But it was originally going to be a television series, and now its in production as a DVD feature first, with a TV series planned to follow.
