what your thoughts on a 1990 suzuki quadrunner 250 4x4 asap.?

i was thinking about buying a suzuki quadrunner 250 4x4 1990..... the brakes dont work good on it.. but thats not a problem to me... the guy says it needs a starter... but it pulls with the pull rope.... he only wants 400 for it....
theres no noises coming from the motor is shifts good..
tell me what you think about this deal and...
what else should i look for on this fourwheeler please help asap
 
My opinion is that a 250 is too small, but if it runs and drives well, for $400 it sounds like a decent deal. Something that old is probably pretty worn out. Make sure you can get replacement parts for it.
