I have a 1980 yota and my tranny is making a grindy noise when in gear except for 4th and the noise sounds really bad especially if driven for awhile. So, I need to know what years of 4x4 toyota 5 speed transmission will bolt up to my 20R. Also, what could the grinding noise be, I have eliminated the possibility of the rear and front gears, and the transfer case,and the throwout bearing, plus the truck grinds into a little in 2nd and 3rd when up shifting every time, unless I let the motor rev down a bit then it shifts w/o problems.
