He would always try to deny that he was Of Indian Decent. Why do you think that was.
 
i don't think he literally tried to deny his heritage, however, he was a very secretive man. For example, he had serious relationships with women, them became gay. He was mysterious. One thing i do know though, is that he was AMAZINGLY TALENTED! what a voice! he puts most current male singers to shame
