I have purchased a second hand juwel rio 400, its 400 litres or approx 90 gallons, I would like your views and advice on what you would do with it, with regards to style, fish and equipment. I currently plan to set up a community tank( tropical fish) with sand or sandy coloured fine gravel, some nice wood, plants, teracotta potts and a realistic looking skull,
Fish I have in mind are clown loaches, rummynose tetra and maybe some other small tetras, bristlenose plec and maybe a few others
The tank has came with an old eheim external filter, and the juwel internal filter that came with the tank, It has no lights yet
I have limited experience of keeping a large tank, biggest ive owned is a 4ftx1x1, and only ever used those internal fluval filters.
I think I would like to maximise on space in the tank so would prefer to only use and external filter but as i said have limited experience with these, the ehiem i got with it looks old and would prefer investing in a new one, so what should i get?
I would like any advice and your ideas on what you would do with it
