What would YOU do if the groom puked all over you?

I just had the strangest dream of my life. My boyfriend and I got married, and we were in the limo taking us to the reception. He got this strange look on his face. I asked him what was wrong, and he told me to turn away. Next thing I know he's vomiting all over me. Apparently he had a stomach virus.

How would you react if the groom puked on you and ruined your dress? Would you be mad, embarrassed, sad, etc?

I would just cry and cry that my perfect day was ruined. I honestly don't know what I would do--show up to the reception in a puke covered dress?

I'd also be PISSED at him--what grown adult doesn't know before they are going to vomit? You can usually tell AT LEAST 30 seconds to a minute ahead.

This situation would be a NIGHTMARE.

There would be loads of tears. and yeah, i would probably throw up as well. And then there would be a detour to a mall or something to buy a cute white dress or something to make it look like the original plan was to change into something cute for the reception.

I would be far more concerned with my husband's health than my dress. As a nurse my first thought would be to assess him. Get him to the hotel or home (or hospital if deemed necessary), get him comfortable and encourage fluids to maintain his hydration. I would be only a second thought. I would simply wash up and change and then attend to his needs. A dress is just a dress. There is nothing more important than your health.

Good luck!

I would be concerned.

If we were in a vehicle, we would pull over. If we were in a building, we'd sit down. I'd ask if he's okay. If he's feeling well enough I'd take him to the bathroom to rinse with some water...make sure he really is okay. My brother is a nurse. I'd probably ask him to come and help decide if he really is just fine, or if we should make a detour to the doctor.

The last thing I would be thinking about is my dress, or the day. He's my number one priority. The wedding day is, after all, just a day. How could I get mad at my husband for feeling ill? That would be terribly selfish.

We'd both get cleaned up and change into some fresh clothes. If he was feeling up to it we'd head to the reception.

I'd take him home or to the hotel and change us up, make sure he's ok, and then go to the reception if he feels up to it. Usually people feel better after they puke.
