what would you do??..i really need someones opinion please!?

Its about to be a year in march that I've been talking to this boy but we are not in a relationship..but I don't know what to do I have his ex girlfriend on facebook that he was with for a whole year and lived with for 3 months but its been 3 years since they broke up but she still seems to have feelings for him which I know she does because she personally told me her self but she doesn't know that I am involved with him...I hate the fact that she writes to him on facebook and his family writes to her...I feel like things between me and him isn't going anywhere I feel like he's a great guy but at the same time I can't trust him..to me I honestly feel like he gives her a reason for her to keep writing to him because for a couple to be broken up for three years how can your feelings for someone stay so strong..I want to stop what's going on between us but I don't know how its hard for me to do it because I really like him and I'm going to be mad if I see him with anybody else...what do you guys think I should do?
