What would you do as this business owner?

A friend makes about 40K a year profit running his small business. He has about 15 minimum wage people working for him. If you were him and you were told you must pay each of your workers 25% more… what would you do? Keeping all workers would cut into your profits so much that you yourself would no longer be able to make money for yourself. Additional advertising and marketing are not likely to generate more business because you have already been doing all you could in that area. Letting workers go will leave you unable to meet the demands of your customers. What options do you have?
Barack Star… I live in America. In first world nations, business owners are called “Entrepreneurs”. “Petty Bourgeoisie” is a derogatory term used by totalitarian dictators to smear an alternative economic model they can’t compete with.

I can't expect him to break the law is he paying the legal mini mun wage if so who is saying this a union?
i say to the people i pay the legal required amount. if a union is sticking it to him tell him to have a sit down and explain that a 25 percent increase would close my business or one out of four people have to be fired to have the others keep their jobs that means harder work for the remaining people.
If you think things are better out there look around, that's the way things are business isn't able to handle this 25 percent demand and even at current wages if thing go into a double dip recession we may have to cut staff.
Life is hard things are very hard now. If anyone CAN do better i wish you the best of luck.
