This is the game where you pretend to be a General Manager of a team and need to make a deal in the same market as today's.

Here is your problem: Your team is in need of a Left Handed. This man must be able to drive in many runs. You have an open spot in the OF but the DH slot is also open. Who do you sign? For how much? And for how long?
I said "Today's Market" as in Today's (February 1st 2009) Free Agents.

I would be GM of the Royals, so I would say signing a guy whp can hit .300 and hits a lot of balls in the gap. I'm not sure about the exact guy, but a guy like George Brett would be who I want. I would sign himfor 5 years @ 45-60 million

Out of who? the current free agents? It's not too deep, what kind of budget? Well, I would go after Ciff Floyd or Jim Edmonds. I would try to sign either for a low base high incentive salary. Say 3 mill with 4 mill in incentives.

Bobby Abreu 2 years $15 million. Ken Griffey JR for the DH for 1 year $7 million.
