What would you call poetry?

Personally i feel that poetry is something that cannot be descibe. It cant be something that you see on paper surely? I feel that there is no difference between poems and lyrics, but i just want to know how people interpret this subject because i find it interesting...

It really depends onw hat tipe of poetry because if is a love poem, what you are saying has to come from your heart and you should be able to get your point threw by only saying it
 
I call poetry...well...poetry...but if you want something deeper and profound...ask the next guy : )
