What would result if chromosomes did not replicate during interphase?

It's my bio homework lol! But I feel stupid for leaving my bio textbook at school and Im babysitting now. But yeah it'll be cool if you can help answer this question. We're learning about the process of mitosis and cytokinesis in bio. Thanks alot for helping!!! ^_^
