what would make a 1995 dodge ram have a dead spin?

i have a 1995 dodge ram 1500 with a 360 motor an it has a dead spin, somebody said that it might be the distributor , or the rotary button, but today i put a new one on an its still a dead spin , so i put a new coil, on it an still the same, would it be the computer. an would a map senser, have anything to do with it, i call a parts house , an they said it might would have a dead spin an the map senser is bad, its gettin gas, an it has pressure, an i know the truck did run, b4 it tore up, an would a crank senser have anything to do with it also, but like i said i really do need some help on it an i dont wanna put it in the shop, cause i know its gotta be something easy to fix
