What would have caused my 1993 Ford Taurus SHO front passenger side wheel area to...

...catch on fire? Haha that sounds bad but its not how it sounds. I drove it about 45 miles on the high way at about 70 to 85 miles per hour all was fine till the "Anti-Lock" light came on and then i started to smell something bad, I looked over and there was smoke in the cab. I pulled over and popped the hood and there was smoke but not a lot and not from the engine. I looked where it was coming from and it was the front passenger side wheel, looked under the car and it was on fire right behind the wheel and the brake. The little rubber thing was melting and dropping fire. What would have caused this to happen? Would it be the brakes because of the "Anti-Lock" light? And also the sway bar linkage on that side is broken, would that have anything to do with it? Please don't tell me just take it to a mechanic because I am going to as soon as I have an idea on what it may be.
